Chengdu with an alternate name of "Rong city", is the national regional central city and the capital of Sichuan province. By 2012, the area of the center of Chengdu city is 515 square kilometers, which is the largest plain in Southwest China.

Dujiangyan water resources project is located on the trunk stream of Minjiang river in Chengdu plain. Its irrigation channels fan out on the vast Chengdu plain, which makes Chengdu plain to be “the land of abundance”, therefore, “people there can grasp and control the drought and flood water and they don't know what is hunger”.
Chengdu is "the most famous city with Chinese culture" and "China's best tourist city", carrying thousands of years of history. Chengdu has the most world heritage projects of Midwest China. It is a famous historical and cultural city with a history of about 3000 years of city construction and nearly 150 years of capital construction. It has many historical monuments and human landscapes, such as Wuhou Temple, Du Fu's Thatched Cottage, Yongling Mausoleum, River-watching Pavilion, Qingyang Palace, WenShu Monastery, Ming Tome of Shu King, and Zhaojue temple.
